Our Playrooms
Our fully detached nursery benefits from 3,800 sq ft of space spread over two floors with free-flow access between playrooms. Every element of the building was fully refurbished in 2016 to provide the ideal setting for your child's early years.
Pre-School
By this age children are developing their social skills and are able to make choices about the activity they would like to take part in and what they would like to learn next. Independence and problem solving skills are encouraged, from serving their own snack to solving friendship issues.
Our pre-school programme builds on the children’s knowledge and skill base, learning style, and interests. Through a rich variety of projects children investigate the fascinating world in which they live, which enhances the development of emerging knowledge and skills. A balance of child-initiated and adult-planned guided learning across key areas of learning are provided for throughout the day.
Like our toddlers, our pre-schoolers benefit from a ‘free flow’ environment where children can move between two large playrooms. Children have access to all the resources available across the top floor including, role play, books, mark making, fine motor, creative area, sand/water play, small world, ICT and music. Activities are planned based on children's interests and linked to the curriculum. Equipment is used in a way that is suitable for each child’s development at their age and according to their capability.

Toddlers
Our toddlers benefit from a ‘free flow’ environment where children can move between three playrooms, exploring, discovering and utilising a wide and varied range of equipment. Practitioners plan activities ensuring all stages of development and individual interests are catered for and met. Children work closely with their key person, spending time during morning and afternoon sessions in small group time.
We provide them with the manageable challenges and relaxed environment that under threes need. Staff understand the frequent changes in moods, interests, and capabilities and provide calm, consistent care and plenty of opportunity to learn through play.

Babies
During their first months, a child’s life experience plays a crucial role in the development of the brain, laying the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow.
From birth, babies are busy, active learners, immediately investigating the sights, sounds, and feel of the world. Babies and toddlers are sensori-motor beings and explore the world with their senses. Long before they understand a concept like "under" or "far", their bodies are learning to navigate the up and down, over and under of the physical world: they are forming their own concepts regarding sizes, colours, and shapes.
We provide babies and toddlers with what they need: a safe world, rich with opportunities to actively explore a variety of objects and materials through sensory stimulation. Practitioners ensure they feel secure through building relationships, listening and tuning into the needs of each of the children in their care.
