This week we have welcomed some lovely children and parents, supporting them through the settling in process. Exploring the nursery both inside and out has been the focus for children and staff.
Outside, the children have explored all the different areas, allowing us to try different activities such as; throwing/catching balls, making sand castles, using the role play kitchen in the Leafy Grotto and exploring the eco-garden. Indoors in the pink room we have had shape sorting, music, and spent time playing in the ball pit. Children in the blue room enjoyed making food in the role play kitchen, driving the fire engines around on the car mat, playing with the instruments and doing puzzles. In the orange room we have done some painting and chalk drawings and we also made some yellow playdough, which we enjoyed making car shapes out of.
Parents and staff have had a successful week getting to know the nursery and each other a little better. We can’t wait to welcome them back, and help some more children settle in!
